Peanut Butter Perfection
A simple, healthy Kong toy filler for your dog
Treat your dog to a creamy, nutritious snack that keeps them both occupied and healthy. This easy-to-make filler combines fiber, antioxidants, and probiotics, making it perfect for mental stimulation and digestive support. Ideal for stuffing into a Kong or any other enrichment toy.
Ingredients:
½ ripe banana, mashed
1 teaspoon dog-safe peanut butter (see warning below)
A small handful of fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened natural yogurt
Instructions:
Blend the banana, yogurt, and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the whole blueberries.
Spoon the mixture into your dog’s Kong toy or similar food toy.
Optional: Freeze the filled toy for 1 to 2 hours to make the treat last longer.
Why This Recipe Works:
Bananas and blueberries are rich in antioxidants and immune-boosting vitamins, and they provide fiber to support digestion.
Natural yogurt offers calcium, protein, and probiotics that promote a healthy gut, especially in dogs that tolerate dairy.
Peanut butter adds flavor and healthy fats, but must be used carefully (see below).
Important Warning:
Always use dog-safe peanut butter that contains no xylitol, artificial sweeteners, or added salt. Xylitol is highly toxic to dogs and even small amounts can be dangerous. Always check the ingredients list before use.
